Busts for 2005 season

Tennessee and Carolina had to be major disappointments in their respective conferences for 2004, although they should rebound this year. Just curious as to which heralded teams you think will flop in 2005? Throw us one from each conference, if possible.

For me, I think the Denver Broncos are just ripe for a fall, considering all the questionable replacements they have in-house now, moves that almost seem of desperation. Denver didn't seem to get a lot of help from the draft or free agency, have aging issues in some key areas (especially OL), and don't really seem to have upgraded much on defense. Add a few key injuries that always seem to happen before the season starts, and this team could really be hurting come October. They also have a QB who makes too many mistakes and an unsettled RB situation. Shanahan seems incapable of letting others make the right personnel decisions, meaning it's all on him like it was for know-it-all Mike Holmgren in Seattle.

My NFC flop for 2005 are the Detroit Lions. I am not a big believer in their collecting of so many offensive tools around a QB who is so inconsistent like Harrington. He seems to be the NFC version of Jake Plummer, someone who makes too many dumb mistakes under pressure. The Lions are being hyped for all their offense, but their defense still needs some more playmakers, IMO. Their schedule, which includes matchups against the AFC Central, is also not favorable to the big turnaround that some NFL experts have already predicted for them. So who are your dogs for this season?
